- Robert:
- in similar conditions I get 3.2 Kb/sec, using CSLIP and
- connecting at 28.8. BTW, 115.200 is not your connection speed, is the
- maximum speed for your port. so, first check your actual connection
- speed and then check the file ppplog.txt in your windows directory.
- what type of connection are you using, PPP, SLIP, CSLIP? I find PPP a
- lot slower.
- Typical connection log follows:
- 01-31-1996 13:35:27.15 - Remote access driver log opened.
- 01-31-1996 13:35:27.15 - Installable CP VxD SPAP is loaded
- 01-31-1996 13:35:27.20 - Server type is CSLIP (Serial Line Protocol)
- + IP Header Compression.
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.86 - Remote access driver is shutting down.
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.87 - CRC Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Timeout Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Alignment Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Overrun Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Framing Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Buffer Overrun Errors 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Incomplete Packets 0
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Bytes Received 1899771
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Bytes Transmittted 48394
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Frames Received 3981
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.89 - Frames Transmitted 2665
- 01-31-1996 14:41:45.94 - Remote access driver log closed.

- also you can log your modem (modemlog.txt) go to: my computer- control
- panel-modem-general-properties-connection-advanced-record a log file.
- good luck
